Kim has called Oshawa home for the last 30 years, where she lives with her husband Michael, daughter Mary, and their menagerie of pets. For 20 years, Kim has operated her graphics and marketing company in Oshawa, networking extensively with local business people throughout Durham Region.
She is a long-serving member of The Business and Professional Women of Durham, now serving as Recording Secretary/Treasurer. But the scope of her volunteering extends far beyond this commitment and includes an eight-year tenure on the Board of YWCA Durham and extensive involvement in supporting our school system. This includes 19 years of support to the Durham Catholic District School Board, including chairing her daughter’s school community council and continuing as Recording Secretary and Community Representative at the district headquarters.
In June 2006, Kim received the Leadership Award by the Business and Professional Women’s Club of Ontario for her contributions to the community. In November 2007, she was recognized by the Durham Regional Council and ScotiaBank, for her Phenomenal Woman Award from Benefits for Women. This award recognized her extensive volunteer contributions and leadership as a role model to local businesswomen.
